Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology is a system of complimentary healthcare that uses simple muscle testing to evaluate areas of imbalance in the body. It is based on the principle that muscles, nerves and organs are interconnected and by observing strengths and weakness of different muscle tests one can locate various imbalances in the body, whether structural, chemical or emotional. When a person experiences poor health it is due to an imbalance in one or more of these areas. Kinesiology is probably one of the most holistic of the complimentary therapies as it aims to restore optimal balance in these key areas and incorporates a range of techniques to get results.

During a kinesiology session a practitioner applies light pressure to specific muscles while the patient meets their pressure.

Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a holistic health technique that uses muscle testing to assess imbalances in the body. It is based on the idea that muscles, nerves, and organs are interconnected, and changes in muscle strength can indicate underlying health issues.

During an AK session, a practitioner applies light pressure to specific muscles while the patient resists. If a muscle weakens or responds abnormally, it may signal an imbalance in a related organ, gland, or system.

Once an imbalance is identified, the practitioner may use a variety of treatments, including chiropractic adjustments, nutritional support, acupressure, or relaxation techniques, to help restore balance and improve overall health.

AK is often used alongside other healthcare approaches and is typically practiced by chiropractors, osteopaths, and holistic therapists.
